Royal House, Cafe Du Monde and Pat O’Brien’s
We went to Royal House for dinner tonight, followed by Cafe du Monde for dessert and finally, Pat O’Brien’s Piano Bar for some music. All great decisions.
At Royal House, we shared French Onion Soup, Seafood Gumbo and Chargrilled Oysters for appetizers. The French Onion Soup was a 10, the Gumbo was a 7 and the Oysters were a 10+ – amazing!

For dinner, I had the Redfish, blackened and topped with Crab Meat and Nancy had Shrimp ‘n Grits. I’d give the Red Fish an 8 and the Shrimp and Grits a 10+

We walked about 4 blocks to Cafe du Monde on Decatur Street for some Coffee and Beignets.

We walked about 6 blocks to Pat O’Brien’s to spend some time at the Piano Bar and listen to some music. We had a nice time.

Jim, that shot you used from the internet from Cafe Du Monde, was our view when we were there. We sat in that very corner.
Hope you got chicken fried steak at Goodson’s in Tomball
John – we did. I thought it was “just okay”.
