We went camping this Mother’s Day weekend. We camped at Windy City Campground in Tinley Park, IL.
We camped down south so we could be close to Nancy’s Mom and sister. We had them over to the trailer for Mother’s Day dinner. We had a nice visit.
Camping was pretty dreary though as it was overcast and rainy on Friday and Saturday. Sunday, while overcast was dry. I got a few projects done on the trailer.

We didn’t hike all the trails but we did visit Starved Rock, Lover’s Leap Overlook, EaglecCliff Overlook, French Canyon, the Visitor Center and the Lodge. Months ago, I committed to smoking ribs for an early arrivals dinner at the TN rally. Â Yesterday, I made good on that promise. Â I smoked 6 racks of ribs and a 10# Boston butt for pulled pork. Â Both turned out great.
