Midwest RV Super Show and Rally – Goshen, IN

Nancy and I traveled to Goshen, Indiana for the 2nd time this year. Once again, we camped at the Elkhart County 4H Fairgrounds. We attended the Midwest RV Supershow and Rally.

It wasn’t all that super and unless you were camping with friends, it wasn’t really a rally, but we still had fun. In fact, I was pleased to see two Heartland products camping in the NW section, two Bighorns. And both owners we knew. They attended the 2007 International Heartland Owners Rally with us and over a hundred others.

And…… our rally friends Mark and Linda Comer drove in for the weekend to look at the new Heartland Landmarks.

We went to Elkhart on Friday to meet up with Eddie Rodino of Chariot RV to look at a 2007 F550 chassis cab and their 7-door aluminum hauler beds for Fords. Nice!!! Toured a few trailers at the Supershow later in the day.

On Saturday we went back to Elkhart with the Comers to tag along with Rob Reid’s tour group (Great Lakes RV Center and Hartland RV Outlet). Us and the Comers have done this tour several times so while the bus load of folks were in the plant with Rob Reid, Scott Tuttle (Heartland) and others, we stayed out in the lot and poured over the new Landmarks fairly extensively, making notes, taking pictures and trying things out. The new cherry decor is growing on us.
The Augusta kitchen/living room floor plan “could” work for us but we’re not find of the front or back side aisle bedrooms.

Stopped at the Farmer’s Market on the way back to Goshen. The Comers first time there. Had lunch and a nice time walking around. We bought some organic vegetables and the Comers bought some nice steaks and that night, we grilled it all back at our trailer. Fun time!
