Florida RV SuperShow – Tampa/Dover, Florida
After the Knoxville, TN RV Show, we began heading towards Florida to work the 2016 Florida RV SuperShow. Â
Here we are ready to pull out of Two Rivers Landing RV Resort in Sevierville, TN.
We stayed at Twin Oaks RV Park off I-75 near Elko, GA on our way to Florida. Â Here we are all setup in one of the handy pull-through sites up front. Â We’ve stayed here for overnight stays many times and we’ve even attended a Heartland Owners Club Georgia Chapter Rally here. Â Nice people – easy-in/out and $20 cash Passport America rate 🙂
During our travel the next day on the final push to Florida, we ran into Ken and Faye Hyde, our Heartland Owners Club Kentucky Chapter Leaders . Â Here we are at a rest/lunch stop. Â That other Landmark to the right of us is Ken and Faye.
We arrived at Tampa East RV Resort in nearby Dover, FL, just off I-4 at McIntosh on Monday, January 14th.  Here we are, setup for the week in site B3.
And here’s some important work… Â I smoked 4 racks of ribs for a potluck with a bunch of our club members/show volunteers.
On Tuesday, Dave Yocum, Randy Allen and myself ran over to the show to setup the Heartland Owners Club table/shelter/banner. Â We setup in the Camping World display among the Bighorns, Big Countrys, Oakmonts, Gateways, Road Warriors and Pioneers. Â Here’s a shot of several of our club members working this display later in the week.
Then we setup a table in the General RV display among the Landmarks. Â Here’s a few shots taken by others there.
And here’s a shot of the America’s Choice display with Cyclone.
The show went well. Â We had sun and warmth, we had cold and wind, we had rain and wind. Â Some of everything but that’s Tampa in January. Â Heartland did well with sales for our brands and the company was pleased. Â Nancy and I had a nice time seeing all of our club friends too.
The only real negative was I and a few others took ill. Â On Saturday, I was really sick (flu), as was Julie H and Steve L. Â Unrelated we believe was Nancy. Â She was ill earlier in the week and it cleared up right away. Â For the rest of us, it was “more involved” and mine lasted 4 days.
Jim, You did a great job of organizing all aspects of the trip, show and the information above!
