Beale Street – Memphis, TN
Walked up and down Beale Street in downtown Memphis. The street is closed off to car traffic today. Lots of bands playing music at the various clubs. Sort of reminds me of Bourbon Street in New Orleans. But maybe cleaner 🙂 we had a drink at Jerry Lee Lewis’ place. We’re coming back downtown tomorrow.

We took Lisa B and Mike P with us tonight to see John Beardsley – The Nashville King (website). When we were talking about going and found the tickets to cost $26 each, I had to do a bit of research before I committed. I found dozens of reviews on Trip Advisor (link to reviews)….
24 MPG Speed Limit – Huh!
I snapped this picture of a speed limit sign in Nashville, TN. Yep, 24 miles per hour. Never seen this before. This is the speed limit on the perimeter road at Opry Mills Shopping Mall, Opry Land Hotel and the Grand Old Opry.
Lodge Cast Iron, Old Time Pottery, Christmas Place, Five Guys and Dollywood – Pigeon Forge, TN – Day 2
After breakfast, we did some shopping in Pigeon Forge. Â We went to the Lodge Cast Iron store. Â I wanted a small pan I could use on the grill for cooking a batch of whole mushrooms in olive oil, butter and garlic. Â Found one! Â I also needed a baked goods drying rack. Â I never found ours…
