Chicago, IL – Day 3, Visiting a Club Friend, Changing Locations and an Amazing Christmas Party Dinner
December 14th, 2013
Chicago weather was a bit unpleasant this morning with a couple inches of snowfall overnight last night and spitty frizzle coming down all this morning. But we had plans and we stuck with them. Nancy and Alice headed out to Our Kitchen in Elmhurst for a lunch gathering of their Oak Lawn High School classmates.
I headed down to the Midlothian/Crestwood area to meet up with friend and Heartland Owners Club member HT N. for lunch at Lone Star Steakhouse. Here’s me and HT.
HT is from Oklahoma and he’s in the Chicago area working on a project in northern Indiana. It was great to get together and catch up a bit.
After we got back from our luncheons, we packed up the truck and moved from Ed and Alice’s in Addison, to Aunt Corky’s in Morton Grove, IL. After we got settled, it was time to head to nearby Evanston for our a Christmas dinner party at Kurt K’s home. Kurt is a former work colleague of Nancy’s from Amoco/BP days. Each year, Kurt puts on a spectacular dinner party for invited guests. Nancy is blessed to have made this list for 20+ years. Thank you Kurt for your Christmas gift of a great evening each year!
