Chicago, IL – Day 2, Shopping, Visiting Friends and enjoying our favorite Chicago area Restaurants
December 13, 2013
I got some online work done early this morning, then headed out with my friend Ed F. to Our Kitchen in Elmhurst for breakfast. Always good eats.
Nancy and I did some shopping in the afternoon. She dropped me off at Fry’s Electronics in Downers Grove while she went to Bed Bath and Beyond. Fry’s is like a candy store for nerds – for me at least. I spent over an hour there, just looking at stuff. I spent about $10 but did a lot of research that led to some Amazon.com action later.
I needed a comfortable pair of black dress shoes so we headed towards Oakbrook Mall when I saw a Nordstrom Rack on the way. Love the Rack! Got me a nice pair of shoes for a nice price too!
What’s a trip to Oakbrook without eating at Wildfire? We had their Chopped Salad and we split a horseradish stuffed burger. Both very good! Another “high on the list” Chicago area favorite – done 🙂
In the evening, Nancy and I, Ed and Alice F and Cathy S went out to Aurelio’s Pizza in Addison. We had salads, then we killed a party size pizza. Another one of our Chicago area favorites – done 🙂
