Great “off-strip” Breakfast
Based on Yelp reviews for a great “off-strip” place for breakfast, we tried Mr. Mamas.  Wow – good call!  We split a Cali Omelet, toast and a bowl of fruit.  The omelet was great.  I ordered it with the home fries.  I’ve had better home fries.  These were deep-fried, not pan-fried.  I guess the omelet was the star though and it did not disappoint.  Our waitress, Julie, was cheery and very helpful.  We met the owner, Nick too.  Great guy.  We may be back tomorrow for the Chili omelet!
Work Meeting
I had my most significant business meeting of this trip today as well.  It was with the General Manager and the Facilities Administrator for Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort.  Wow, what I nice place this is.  The Nevada Chapter of the Heartland Owners Club held their rally here in late September of 2008.  I flew out for that one.  It was hot in the day and cool in the evening.  We had a great time!  Anyway, I’m working out all the details now and I’m hopeful that we’ll be able to hold the 2016 North American Heartland Owners Rally here.  More meetings and negotiations to be done – we shall see.
Amazing Lunch
Based on the recommendation of a cabbie, we ventured a mile east of the strip on the north end of Vegas for lunch at a Thai restaurant called “Lotus of Siam“. Â Wow – it was worth the drive. Â Nancy had the chef’s special, a Sea Bass dish with veggies, spices and flat wide noodles. Â Oh my was that good! Â I had the Panang Curry Chicken, also with flat wide noodles. Â Very good as well. Â I wish this place was closer to the south end of the strip – we’d go back, it was THAT GOOD!
Garrett’s Popcorn!
There is a HUGE indoor mall on the 3rd floor of Plant Hollywood called “Miracle Mile Shops. Â Lots of stores. Â Some regular ones we known and others quite weird, for our taste. Â We found a Garret’s Popcorn and could not leave without getting some. Â Oh man – yummy!
Australian Bee Gees Show
This evening, we stayed at our hotel and saw a performance of The Australian Bee Gees.  What a show!  We really enjoyed it.  And what made it even better is that like all the shows we see, we get tickets at Tix4Tonight, at up to half-price.  But the even, more better part is we were asked if we’d like to move from our “back of the house” table to a table near the stage.  Sure, we’ll be seat fillers 🙂  Well, we were in the front row!  Very nice.
It’s sad that with only one Bee Gee remaining alive (Barry Gibb), the music could die. Â But with acts like Australian Bee Gees, their music can live on. Â If you get a chance to see this act somewhere in the world – treat yourself if you enjoy the music of the Bee Gees.
