The Dells!

We’re in the Wisconsin Dells.

Nancy and I arrived at the Dells KOA about 10:30 am this Thursday and got the trailer all setup.  I picked up Nathan, Lindsay, Dylan and Trisha at the Amtrak station in downtown Dells around 12:30.  The picture in the MoBlog is of the kids in front of the train.  I pasted a sign from the train station above their picture.

Weather here is great – in the low to mid 80s.  Got cool last night.  Lindsay and Trisha were cold in the tent.  Speaking of tent – yeah, forgot the tent at home!  Bought another tent at Walmart yesterday.  Thank goodness there’s a Walmart near most towns we camp near.

We walked around downtown Dells last night and did a little shopping.  Going to Noah’s Ark water park today.

Nathan and I got the satellite dish setup today.  It was pretty easy.  We used the zipcode utility on the laptop to get the elevation and azimuth, dialed in the dish and hooked it to the receiver.  I used my backup monitor in the truck as a screen to see the receiver’s setup screen and used a small inverter to power the receiver in the truck.  Worked great.  We had signal right away and just had to fine-tune the dish a bit.  Came inside, called Dish and setup the account.  Works great.
