Camping with the Trexlers – South Beloit, IL @ Pearl Lake CG
This weekend, we camped at Pearl Lake Campground near South Beloit, IL. We parked behind our friends, Kim and Steve Trexler. Kim was having a birthday party for Steve. Steve’s sister, his daughter, her two sons, her husband and a couple of friends were there for the party – we were the self-invited add-ons. Our original camping plans had fallen through with our friends the Hartleys when Tina took ill with a bug she could not shake in time and she didn’t want to share it with us either. Thanks for not sharing Tina – we missed you guys!
We gave a couple of RV tours as is customary and fun to do. It’s great that people have an interest in seeing the unit and it was our pleasure and duty to oblige them.
We’ve enjoyed a nice relaxing weekend here so far. Last night, we cooked dinner on Steve’s grill. I love that huge gas grill he keeps on his deck here. I can cook so many things at once. Steve’s son-in- law, Vic, brought a Margaritaville margarita making machine. Wow – that thing is cool!
Nancy and I went biking several times with puppies-in-tow. We put on around 10 miles so far. Hoping to go out tonight for Mexican food before Nancy’s heads home. I plan to head out sometime Monday.
Hi! I was trying to locate our friends Kim and Steve Trexler and your site popped up with pictures and everything. I love it cause the tie dyes Steve is wearing are ones that we made! How cool! Would love to get in touch with them if you could pass along this message that Mandy and Bill miss them and want to reconnect. We are in the same house with the same phone numbers. So maybe they could give us a shout or send an email.
Thanks so much!
