2016 – Walt Disney World – Day 3

Today, we drove over to Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney), a dining-retail-entertainment district inspired by Florida’s waterfront towns and based around ‘freshwater springs’.

We had lunch in Downtown Disney at The Boathouse Restaurant.  I had the Cedar Planked Salmon and Nancy had the Crab Cake.  We split a Wedge Salad.  Both meals were fabulous if not a bit pricey.

We had coffee and ice cream at Ghirardeli and walked around Disney Springs quite a bit before heading back home.

Later in the evening, our friends and neighbors from The Gardens in Crossville, TN, Joe and Cathy Moore met us at our RV and we went to the Hoopty Doo Review Dinner and Show at Pioneer Hall, here in Fort Wilderness.  Fun times!

Here’s a couple pictures taken at Disney Springs and at Pioneer Hall:

Travel Day 2 – On the way to Massachusetts

Today was travel day 2 of 3.  We traveled I-81 North most of the day, followed by I-84 East for a little while in the afternoon.  I-81 was great.  I-84 was a bit rough.  Still glad we went this route.  Thanks for the tip Duane C!

We stopped in Hagerstown, MD for lunch.  We picked up sandwiches from Chick-fil-A – yum!.  There was a nice big Sam’s Club parking lot next door.  Perfect!

We traveled 448 miles today to reach our overnight spot.  That was a bit farther than we’d initially planned.  We ended up near Hopewell, New York.  We’re all setup at Sylvan Lake Beach Park for the evening.  See you tomorrow Massachusetts!
