After the Knoxville, TN RV Show, we began heading towards Florida to work the 2016 Florida RV SuperShow.
Here we are ready to pull out of Two Rivers Landing RV Resort in Sevierville, TN.
We stayed at Twin Oaks RV Park off I-75 near Elko, GA on our way to Florida. Here we are all setup in one of the handy pull-through sites up front. We’ve stayed here for overnight stays many times and we’ve even attended a Heartland Owners Club Georgia Chapter Rally here. Nice people – easy-in/out and $20 cash Passport America rate
During our travel the next day on the final push to Florida, we ran into Ken and Faye Hyde, our Heartland Owners Club Kentucky Chapter Leaders . Here we are at a rest/lunch stop. That other Landmark to the right of us is Ken and Faye.
We arrived at Tampa East RV Resort in nearby Dover, FL, just off I-4 at McIntosh on Monday, January 14th. Here we are, setup for the week in site B3.
And here’s some important work… I smoked 4 racks of ribs for a potluck with a bunch of our club members/show volunteers.
On Tuesday, Dave Yocum, Randy Allen and myself ran over to the show to setup the Heartland Owners Club table/shelter/banner. We setup in the Camping World display among the Bighorns, Big Countrys, Oakmonts, Gateways, Road Warriors and Pioneers. Here’s a shot of several of our club members working this display later in the week.
Then we setup a table in the General RV display among the Landmarks. Here’s a few shots taken by others there.
And here’s a shot of the America’s Choice display with Cyclone.
The show went well. We had sun and warmth, we had cold and wind, we had rain and wind. Some of everything but that’s Tampa in January. Heartland did well with sales for our brands and the company was pleased. Nancy and I had a nice time seeing all of our club friends too.
The only real negative was I and a few others took ill. On Saturday, I was really sick (flu), as was Julie H and Steve L. Unrelated we believe was Nancy. She was ill earlier in the week and it cleared up right away. For the rest of us, it was “more involved” and mine lasted 4 days.
