So we used Uber for the first time today. Â We’re in New Orleans and we felt like getting a lift from Willie Mae’s Scotch House to the French Quarter (1.5 miles).
Kevin Wolbeck used his Uber account. Â The car was there within minutes and the cost for 4 people was like $6.
Later, from the quarter, I used my Uber account and we got a lift back to French Quarter  RV Resort.  It worked out great.  I see they sent me a promo code so Nancy signed up using it.  She will get her first ride free and I’ll get a $15 Uber ride credit.  Cool!
If you haven’t tried this alternative to a traditional taxi cab and want to get your first ride free, download the Uber app and use my promo code: jimb3509ue or click this link
We stayed in the Kennebunkport area for a few nights, visiting Arundel, Wells, Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Cape Elizabeth and Portland. We then moved onto the Bangor area for a few nights. Â Below are a few pictures of our visit.

Today we went out for breakfast. We decided to return to Wells to eat breakfast at Maine Diner since we had a good experience there for dinner our first night in the area. We we’re not disappointed. The Lobster Benedict and Blueberry Pancakes were great!
Maine – Wells – Maine Diner – Lobster Benedict for breakfast. YUM!
After breakfast, we headed an hour north to Freeport. The big attraction here is LL Bean’s flagship store. And it is HUGE. There are actually 4 stores (that we found). Three are in the same campus and the 4th, their outlet store is located nearby in an outlet mall. We both found things we needed 🙂
Maine – Freeport – LL Bean. Here’s the front of one of their four stores here.
In between visits to the various LL Bean stores, we went across the street to Linda Bean’s Restaurant. Decent food. Service was slow so they gave us our Coconut Cream pie free! And it was good pie 🙂
We left Freeport and headed back south and stopped in Portland. We walked around the wharf area on Commercial street and went in a few stores. We had a light dinner at the Dry Dock Restaurant and Tavern. Nancy had a Lobster Roll and I had a Haddock Sandwich. We both had a cup of soup with Nancy having French Onion and me having Lobster Bisque. Both were very good. After dinner, we headed south, back to camp in Arundel.

Today was move day. And it was a day of epic rain. I can’t remember when I last had to prepare the RV for travel in the pouring rain. Been years for sure. Anyway, donned a rain coat and got’r done. It rained all the way (3 hours) to Hermon, Maine (near Bangor). Driving in the Rain
We’re at Pumpkin Patch RV Park as recommended by a couple of our RV friends. We’re in site 18. Maine – Hermon – Pumpkin Patch RV – Sign

We went into Bangor for the evening and ended up at Paddy Murphy’s Irish Pub for dinner. We split a Fish and Chips and a Guinness Burger. The burger was GREAT. The fish was okay. It was a bit too greasy. The beer was fabulous too 🙂 Maine – Bangor – Paddy Murphy’s

Today was move day. We moved from Hermon, Maine (Bangor) to XXXXX, Maine(Bar Harbor). On our way though, we stopped at Dysart’s Truck Stop for breakfast. We’d already learned about their famous Cinnamon Rolls and had tried them earlier this week (YUM).
